JD is the President and Managing Partner of RRS, a firm that specializes in sustainable resource strategies and waste recovery solutions. He has designed and developed MRFs, been closely engaged in recovery technology development and transfer, and worked hard to maximize recovery and minimize cost in the recycling industry. JD’s extensive practical knowledge in waste recovery systems, capital project planning, design engineering, organics and green housing projects are leveraged by many private and public sectors, including local units of government, commercial developers, hospital systems, and the food and beverage industry. He has pursued the development of environmental and sustainable technology through his involvement in the Environmental Capital Network and his own ventures in green home and resort construction. JD is a visiting faculty member at the University of Michigan, teaching sustainable economies. He has also served as the Past Chair on the Clean Energy Coalition. JD is a LEED Accredited Professional.
