Dan is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. Dan earned a BA and MA degree from the Cincinnati Christian University. He spent 27 years as a Cincinnati Police Officer, retiring in 2002 at the rank of Police Specialist (Detective). While there, Dan patrolled the interstates for 10 years in the Traffic Bureau. He investigated serious and fatal accidents and taught traffic related courses in the Cincinnati Police Academy and Great Oaks Police Academy. He was also a Neighborhood Liaison Officer, and became a certified Crime Prevention Specialist (CPS). Dan is a lifetime certified instructor through the Ohio Police Officers Training Academy and a Master Trainer of Trainers through Great Oaks Academy and the Ohio Crime Prevention Association (OCPA). Dan was on the curriculum committee that developed and presented cutting edge topics of Advanced Crime Prevention (a Master’s Level 32 hour course) and House of Worship Safety Program. He has been the Corporate Loss Control Manager for Rumpke Waste and Recycling since June, 2005. Dan is responsible for plaintiff litigation, investigation and follow-up of serious vehicular accidents, corporate safety, security, training, and maintaining a positive relationship with local law enforcement agencies and the community.
